High school diploma or equivalent is required
Greets patients at front reception desk and collects and verifies all required information from patients including demographic, insurance, etc. Assists patients or parent in completing forms and consents.
Instructs patient/family in patient portal; engages participation in patient satisfaction surveys.
Answers office phones, provides routine information re-directs calls. Records all patient messages and distributes according to office protocol. Triages patient calls, collecting pertinent information, determining level of urgency and notifying provider accordingly.
Schedules and confirms patient office appointments, specialty practice and surgical procedures.
Instructs patients on procedures for visits, surgeries, and post-operative visits. Calls patients prior to procedures to confirm date/time, location, NPO status, medications, etc.
Notifies patients of all testing results as instructed by provider
Collects and records all payments. Deposits payments in accordance with CKHN policy.
Researches and resolves all insurance-related problems as requested by billing department.
Maintains inventory of office supplies.
Opens and routes incoming mail; faxes documents; distributes correspondence and other material to department staff.
Performs non-routine tasks (i.e., inventorying supplies, reorganizing of files, purging charts, cleaning office) during slow patient hours.
Attends mandatory In Service, training, and educational programs
Attends meetings and participates on committees as requested.
Completes special assignments and projects as assigned
Provides administrative support to Provider Practice group and serves as liaison between patient and clinical staff. Greets, instructs, directs, and schedules patients. Independently performs duties, supporting clinical staff of Provider Practice group, in the delivery of quality patient care. Performs duties in support of the Crozer-Keystone mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. This position serves all age populations.
Supports patient and providers in care delivery, pre-visit, visit, and post-visit to include the following:
Escorts patient to examination room; assists patient after exam; directs patient to lab or reception area using established customer-service standards.
Obtains patient weight, blood pressure, height, body temperature, pulse and respiration. Documents and initials progress note and completes chart flow sheets.
Ensures correct patient chart is prepared for provider, including proper heading of progress notes, documentation of patient vitals and chief complaint. Ensures all prior test results or studies are filed.
Assists providers as required with examinations and procedures.
Monitors patient's condition, as directed by physician, during medical/surgical procedures. Immediately, reports any change to physician.
Under the direction of the physician, calls in prescriptions to the pharmacy.
Addresses patient questions and concerns within the practice guidelines.
Completes lab requisitions, labels, and prepares specimens for processing. Electronically, maintains lab data. Documents patient chart.
Prepares, processes, and distributes lab results. Ensures results are received and reviewed by provider and filed in patient chart. Maintains all necessary log information.
Notifies patients of all test results as instructed by provider.
Meets with patients, family members, team members to update plan of care and provide education, as needed.
Documents required information in patient charts and logs according to practice standards.
Follows up post-visit per developed standards.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
