The position will support CKHS business development efforts by assisting with, and as specifically assigned, managing, various aspects of the CKHS business development process throughout the Health System. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, the role will work closely and in tandem with the VP in an effort to expedite project and program data analysis, feasibility, stakeholder buy-in, launch and operational implementation, with a special emphasis on the eventual transfer to on- going management.
Candidate will possess strong project management skills, the demonstrated ability to problem solve and move the stated agenda forward in a matrix environment; and ability to pull people together with conflicting agenda's or competing interests in an effort to move the larger organization forward. 5- 10 years Operational or Business Development experience in a health system environment, ability to deal successfully with physicians and the ability to take general direction and produce specific results at any point in time.
Understand (and meet) the goals of all customer sets and the different expectations of those various customers and stakeholders.
Stakeholders include but are not limited to: physicians ( employed and non employed), Site specific leadership/management, CKHS system specific management/leadership, PMH management/leadership community stakeholders at different parts of the county, patients who live in varying demographics within our service area.
Strong competitive desire to help and lead the organization into new areas of profitable growth and change despite organizational inertia and unpopular decision making. Ability to demonstrate the path with leadership by example.
Understanding of the financial documents used to create business rationale and get project approvals; including but not limited to proformas, P& L statements, managed care analyses, departmental staffing , budget and goal documents, Internal documents used to garner capital and contract approvals ( CER/ CRAF
Understanding of the supply, demand and utilization principles used in healthcare to ascertain business opportunities in the marketplace. Willingness to learn and fully understand the data products that CKHS has purchased ( such as Thompson, SG2, Databay, etc) in order to fully maximize their use for business development purposes.
Education and Training:
Minimum of 10 years experience in Healthcare senior or middle management with a strong background in project or serviceline implementation and management.
A minimum of 5 years exposure and experience in successful transactional work involved with mergers/acquisitions/alliances/ventures.
Masters Prepared or better.
Skills:
MS Office Suite -- Excel, Powerpoint,Word, etc. Willingness to become proficient in Goldmine (sales tracing software)
