Administrative Director of Rehab Services

Masters degree is preferred
Provides administrative direction to the CKHS Regional Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities of Taylor Hospital and Delaware County Memorial Hospital to insure quality patient care, efficient operations, and financial growth. Performs duties in support of the Crozer-Keystone Health System mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. This position supervises the inpatient employees of CKHS Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Participates in planning of scope and level of care for patient services in accordance with mission and needs assessments as demonstrated by response to patient surveys, goals and objective and financial plan
Participates in developing, approving, communicating, implementing and revising policies and procedures for P.M.&R. to provide guidelines for operations including protocols, performance criteria, integration of services. Ensures staff compliance with all policies and procedures. Demonstrated by a complete and current Policy and Procedures Manual, minutes, and other records.
Participates in the planning of patient care services throughout P.M.&R. to ensure that quality and level of care is consistent with patient's health and care needs.
Develops, in collaboration with P.M.&R. managers, goals and objectives for departments and programs based on facility mission and values, plan for delivery of care and scope of services and communicates such to staff. Monitors progress on an ongoing basis as evidenced by reports
Coordinates the preparations of operations and capital budgets of departments and programs in P.M.&R., consistent with facility financial plan, to provide appropriate level of care and establish financial goals. Documents plans and assumptions used in compilation
Directs operation of departments and programs to achieve financial objectives. Monitors budget on an ongoing basis and prepares variance reports, etc., to ensure financial goals are met or revised as appropriate.
Participates in the establishing, planning and implementing of assessment and improvement of performance for P.M.&R. management, clinical and support processes as evidenced by establishment of expectations and measurements, allocations of appropriate resources, establishment of priorities, training of staff and analysis of data.
Assesses and directs internal systems and services to ensure appropriateness, integration, coordination and consistency through Quality Monitoring, patient surveys, and collaboration with P.M.&R. Nursing Unit Clinical Coordinators and medical staff
Ensures that the departments in area of responsibility operate in accordance with all applicable safety standards, as evidenced by staff compliance with mandatory in-service programs, safety inspections and licensing evaluations.
Ensures that patient services in areas of responsibility are provided in a timely manner through the establishment of standards and tracking of related statistics
Participates in the formulation, implementation and review of P.M.&R. personnel policies, which are consistent with facility policies and contracts and are responsive to issues of employee satisfaction determined through analysis of Employee Opinion Surveys, Open Employee Meetings, etc. Minimizes preventable staff turnover and recommends and initiates appropriate corrective action to retain staff
Collaborates in the identification of education, training, and other learning needs of P.M.&R. personnel and in the development and implementation of appropriate mechanisms to meet those needs, as evidenced by orientation and inservice schedules and continuing education and other training reports.
Ensures that personnel and other resources are utilized in an effective and efficient manner through cooperative scheduling and sharing by P.M.&R. management team.
Maintains current knowledge of all applicable licensing, regulatory and accreditation standards and directs operations to ensure compliance. Communicates standards and changes to staff
Education and Training:
Bachelors degree in P.M. & R. discipline
Masters degree preferred
Experience:
Five years clinical experience required
Five years administrative responsibility in a multi disciplinary setting.
Registration, Licensure and/or Certification:
Current license to practice a P.M.& R. discipline within Commonwealth of PA.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
