Certified Medical Asst-FT-Multi-specialty Practice, Springfield

General Responsibilities
The Certified Medical Assistant provides general support to physicians for patient care and examinations, including exam preparation and lab work. This position is also responsible for supporting the functions of the front desk area.
Basic Qualifications
Education and Training: Education equivalent to completion of high school.
Certification and Licensure: Certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following accredited agencies: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists, certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from American Association of Medical Assistants, Medical Assistant from National Center for Compentency Testing, or CCMA from National Healthcareer Association.
Skills: CPT and ICD9/10 codes
The principles, methods, materials, equipment and technique used to perform laboratory analysis
The basic principles, methods and techniques used to administer injections to adults and pediatric patients
The safety precautions required in laboratory work including universal precaution
Experience: Prior MA and/or patient care experience is preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
