Labor Relations Business Partner

Req # 28646 The Labor Relations Business Partner position is responsible for daily operations of aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The Associate HRBP serves as a consultant to the Director of Human Resources and other Management on Labor Relations issues. The successful Associate HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent for the business. The Associate HRBP assesses and anticipates Labor Relations needs and happenings.  Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The Associate HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Manages and resolves complex employee and labor relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Makes recommendations based on investigations and in accordance with policies and contracts ensuring timely responses   Ensures compliance with policies and procedures while making sound and consistent recommendations to managers to minimize employee and labor relation issues.   Maintains current statistics regarding vacancies, new hires, position interest, and related data. Will provide accurate and relevant data as requested by management for all areas   Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.   Assists with union negotiations by gathering data, researching issues and recommending contract language.  Accurately interprets contract language and advises managers about contractual obligations.     Facilitates issues related to reductions in force.  Counsels and assists displaced employees in process   Accurately interprets and communicates the wage and salary program to managers to ensure internal and external equity is maintained.  Seeks assistance and clarification appropriately   Actively participates in the development and implementation of process improvement systems specifically related to Human Resources to contribute to the quick resolution of problems, enhancement of existing systems and procedures, etc   Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.   Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning   Builds a strong business relationship with the internal client   Facilitates the management team to bring best solutions for employees.   Employee disputes are successfully addressed in order to avoid the formal grievance procedure.  All employee disputes are investigated in a timely fashion.  Employee grievances are addressed in accordance with the contracts and assure all deadlines are met.  The Director of Human Resources is kept informed of the status of all significant grievances.   Appropriate recommendations are made to the Director of Human Resources to revise and/or replace policies and procedures.  The policies and procedures are correctly interpreted and reviewed with department directors and managers.  Appropriate training is provided to directors and managers to ensure correct understanding   Researches, identifies and interprets current and emerging employee relations issues, trends and opportunities; develops and implements responsive wide programs, initiatives, and communications   Performs other related activities and participates in special projects, as required.  Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by organizational and departmental needs.   Education and Training:   Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required.  Experience and Knowledge: 5-7 years experience in Employee and Labor Relations required Demonstrated experience in contract strategy, negotiation and facilitation   Skills:   Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytic and problem solving skills Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite products

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
